We selected this trip because Next Step Ministries has a proven record of equipping youth for meaningful, service-oriented work — the kind that not only meets practical needs in communities but also creates space for students to be personally transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Hand-in-hand with the service, Alaska's beauty and awe will offer the youth a powerful glimpse into the majesty of our Triune God.

We also want our students to recognize that rural communities like Fairbanks have neighbors who are just as deserving of love, support, and presence as anyone in our own backyard. This trip is a chance to broaden their hearts and their understanding of the world God calls us to serve.
