GLOBAL MISSIONS

At New Mercy, global missions is at the very heart of who we are. We believe that God’s heart beats not just for our local community, but for every nation, tribe, and tongue. When we look at the world, we see both its beauty and its brokenness, and we are convinced that God’s heart breaks for the suffering, injustice, and lostness that people experience across the globe. Because of this, we see missions not as an optional ministry, but as an essential expression of our faith.

We also believe that the church is called to stay deeply connected to the global body of Christ. The Kingdom of God is far bigger than any one congregation, and Scripture reminds us that we belong to a family of believers that stretches across continents and cultures. By partnering with missionaries, ministries, and churches worldwide, we have the privilege of joining in what God is already doing—healing, restoring, and redeeming lives through the power of the gospel.

Through prayer, financial support, short-term teams, and long-term partnerships, our church seeks to live out this calling faithfully. Global missions remind us that the Great Commission is not confined by geography. As we stay engaged and connected, we not only bring the hope of Christ to the nations, but we also receive the gift of learning from brothers and sisters whose faith, resilience, and passion inspire us. Together, we joyfully participate in God’s mission to reconcile the world to Himself.

Our Missionary

CATHY JANG
CAMBODIA

We are delighted to introduce Cathy Jang, a passionate educator and devoted missionary embarking on a transformative journey to Cambodia. Cathy will serve as a teacher at a Christian private elementary school, where she aims to invest in the future generation of Cambodian children. Her mission is to partner with local communities and organizations, providing discipleship and fostering meaningful relationships with those she encounters.

Cathy’s commitment to nurturing young minds reflects our church’s dedication to global missions and education. By empowering students with knowledge and faith, she embodies our belief in restoration and hope. We invite our community to support Cathy through prayer and encouragement as she embarks on this impactful endeavor, bringing light and love to the children of Cambodia.

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!””
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭14‬-‭15‬
