Wednesday 2/11 Session
Leadership That Leans In
As pointed words are said, conflict arises, misunderstandings happen or a conversation feels sidelined by emotion, how do you respond? Leading in love requires being able to remain connected and communicating in a non-anxious way, in the midst of tension. This is not the responsibility of someone else but an invitation Jesus has for you as a leader. This practical hour will be spent in learning a few core skills to move towards a leadership that will lean in and towards those we lead, especially when it would be easier to lean away.
The Fundamentals of Group and One-on-one Care
We will go over both hard and soft skills around leading groups and meeting one-on-one. This session will be guided by the spirit of improv that encourages the aspect of leaning into the unfolding encounter. We will involve elements of role play based on specific scenarios to help you actually see and model sound group care and one-on-one care.
Wednesday 2/18 Session
Embracing and Leading Change
Change is a constant and is all around us. How can we embrace change and lead others through it productively? This one-hour session will enhance your understanding of change and common reactions toward it, and provide tools to better support yourself and others through it.
